In the center of Icelands creative humus stands a beacon of light in the shape of Halldóra Geirharðsdóttir. For 20 years she´s been capturing audiences both in theaters, film and tv. Both as an actor and director with memorable performances in films like Polite People, Metal Head, Of Horses and Men and most recently Woman at War, that also earned her a nomination for best actress at the European Film Awards in 2019.
Known as a phenomenal collaborator, a deeply nurturing human being that always stay positive and curious she always encourages and strives for extraordinary.
She is not afraid of being vulnerable or crossing into the unknown psyche of a character and searching the most uncomfortable corners of her own experiences to find artistic integrity and truth. All in all, Halldóra is a brave person but furthermost a brave actor.
