Malin Levanon amazed critics and audiences alike with her portrayal of the homeless drug dealer, Minna, in “Drifters (Tjuvheder)” in 2015. Her performance managed to humanise people scraping out their existence on the edge of society and earned her a Guldbagge for Best Actress in Sweden and the 2016 Casters Critiques Choice Northern Lights Award Berlin.
Malin has created an array of strong roles, in a number of award winning films, such as “Flocking” (Flocken, Sweden 2015) – winner of the World Fiction Award at LA Film Fest 15 & Crystal Bear at Berlinale -15 and “The Reunion” (Återträffen, Sweden 2013) – winner of the Critics Award at Venice Film Festival. Malin also won the Honour Award at The Stockholm Film Festival for her performance in the film Gläntan in 2012.
Malin’s broad emotional register and strong presence, both on screen and stage, has put her at the forefront of Swedish acting. The detail and attention she brings to each role is a great asset to any movie or play. We are excited to see the characters, emotions and worlds she will bring us next.
