Born and raised in a suburb south of Stockholm,  Elaine went on to study film and television production and later completed a bachelor’s degree in film studies.

With a background as operations manager at independent cinemas Cosmopolite and Capitol, and later as a marketing manager at Stockholm International Film Festival, she has extensive experience of all aspects of screening films for an audience.

Elaine is currently the captain at Indio’s arthouse cinema, overseeing the day-to-day operations and steering the ship towards edgy and high-quality programming.
